Flowers bring a bit of life to even the darkest spaces. They can freshen up the dining room, transform a wedding venue, and remind someone how much you love them. If you love flowers but want a more sustainable option, I think your family is going to adore Field Five Flowers. Whether you want to order an arrangement for your loved one or prefer to get out in nature and pick them yourself, I think you are going to adore this Montana farm! As a Missoula motherhood photographer, I get the chance to go behind the scenes of all the best local spots. Here’s why I adore this one so much!

About Field Five Flowers

24275 Mullan Road, Huson, Montana 59846

Field Five Flowers is a flower farm that was started in 2011 by Tracy Potter-Fins, a queer farmer from Moscow, Idaho. Over the years, Tracy has built a truly lovely farm alongside her partner, Bethany Stanbery, a farmer and metal worker. They center their family in all they do, inviting their toddler, Imogen, to help out alongside the work. Throughout your time on the farm, you are going to spot their team members, pups, chickens, and more. They take a seasonal approach to their work, shutting down orders once the grounds begin to freeze. In addition to their standard arrangements, you can check out their floral designs through Nectar Tap Design and Petal House Wholesale.

The Field Five Flowers Experience

While there are so many ways to enjoy Field Five Flowers, their U-Pick tends to be a family favorite. Their Huson farm is located on about two acres and opens up in the middle of each summer. They welcome visitors of all ages and offer different options. You can pick a handful, or you can fill a bucket. They offer both 8-liters and 5-gallons. While you can pay a little extra to take their buckets home, you are encouraged to bring your own. In addition to their U-Pick options, they let you rent out the area for photo sessions. As a photographer, I absolutely love using this area as a backdrop. It is positively dreamy as the sun goes down over the wild and colorful fields!
