About the Missoula Public Library Events

The Missoula Public Library has been a mainstay in the community for over 100 years. It started out in 1894 and then relocated to the building that now houses the Missoula Art Museum. It then moved to East Main Street in 1974 and continued to grow. Even now, it’s constantly finding brand-new ways to help the community!
The Wonderful Missoula Public Library Events
Missoula Public Library is full of programs that are perfect for all ages! Their story times are seriously wonderful. You can find sessions just for toddlers as well as kids ages 3 and up. These story times were designed to build up your child’s language skills without them even realizing it! You can come along, sing some songs, dance, and make crafts with your child. If you want to check them out before you commit, you can head over to their website, where you can find pre-recorded sessions!
The library has tons of other events, including open play groups. Trust me, this is going to be your favorite spot during these early years of parenthood.
As your child gets a little older, you can come and let them practice some science in the Research Labs. They also let your child read with dogs so they can have the cutest way to work on their literacy skills! The library has additional options for all ages, such as Maker’s Space, intros to podcasting, and even Dungeons and Dragons sessions!
Specialty
One of my favorite spots in the library has to be spectrUM Discovery Center on the second floor of the main building. This totally free program is sponsored by the University of Montana and gives your child a hands-on way to learn. Their goal is to spark your child’s imagination in a way that helps the lessons stick. Your child will learn all about STEAM through countless activities!
