There are a lot of great ways to explore Missoula, whether you prefer a hike across the mountains or a horseback ride across the trails. The best way to see it all? That would be with a ride through Clark Fork Yacht Club! This group is dedicated to creating family memories as you float along the water. As a Missoula family photographer, I adore working with parents to create moments they can carry with them forever. Here’s why I always recommend this group!
509 S. Higgins Ave Ste 3366
Located in the alley just behind Betty’s Divine, Clark Fork Yacht Club gives you everything you could need for the perfect family day! If you can’t find them, just look for the bright pink rafts just outside of the world’s cutest clubhouse. They go above and beyond to make sure you can have fun while staying safe. They have a cut-off for kids below the age of 14. While it might seem unfair for younger kids, they want to be sure you can paddle yourself in your own tube to prevent any accidents. They will also walk you through how to make the most of your trip before it’s time to set sail!
With Clark Fork Yacht Club, they make it a piece of cake to get started! You can head over to the website and reserve your trip online. On the day of your float trip, you will show up at the office 10-15 minutes before your time. You can hop on their van, and they will take you to their neon pink tubes. The ride typically takes around 2-3 hours, depending on the river’s current. As you float along the Clark Flat River, you can enjoy all the snacks and drinks you’d like. Once it’s time to be done, they can take you back to your car, where you’ll get your stuff and head home for the day.
While there is so much to love about Clark Fork Yacht Club, I think my favorite thing is how much they elevate your average float trip. Take the tubes, for example. Not only are the flamingo rafts extremely cute, but they’re super practical! The butt hammock will keep you comfy, while the color will ensure you don’t get the same burn you might get from the standard black tubes. They also have secure pockets where you can place your belongings ahead of time. Additionally, the club offers complimentary lockers where you can leave anything that you don’t want to take on the water.
