How Nurse-Family Partnership Of Montana Empowers Parents

As parents, we hear a lot about how it takes a village to raise a child. Unfortunately, that village is getting harder and harder to find. As a result, we are all so stressed out and stretched way too thin. This is exactly why Nurse-Family Partnership of Montana was founded! This group works with expecting moms to give them the support they so desperately need right about now. As a Missoula family photographer, I adore working with parents to make this time as picture-perfect as possible. Here’s why I love this organization!

About the Nurse-Family Partnership Of Montana

301 W. Alder Street, Missoula, Montana 59802

Nurse-Family Partnership was founded in 1996 as a way to provide families with evidence-based care. Their goal was simple: to create happier, healthier parents by giving new families the resources they needed. In 2012, they moved into Montana, setting up locations in Missoula and Billings to help the surrounding counties. Since then, they have served over 1,103 families in the state. Today, they are your best source for finding the support you need throughout the early years of parenthood!

Services

While you can seek out their services at any time throughout those first few years, I highly recommend the experts at Nurse-Family Partnership of Montana throughout your pregnancy. One resource they provide is a free personal nurse who will help you as you start to make major decisions for your family. They will be by your side to provide you with advice, information, and support. This is available for any mom as late as 28 weeks into their pregnancy, with the option to get started during those first few weeks. They are going to be there to let you know what to expect throughout the later trimesters, as well as labor and delivery. Once those contractions start, you are going to feel like a total pro!

Many of their resources are centered around moms, but don’t think they’ve forgotten about the dads out there! Their personal nurses can work with your partner to learn how they can play an active role in your labor as well as the newborn stage. They can teach your partner things like how to change a diaper or how to calm a fussy baby. Trust me, you will both be so happy you chose to do this once your little one arrives!

Specialty

If you are looking for more ways to build up your village, I think you will love their sub-group, Raising Strong. This is a Nurse-Family Partnership of Montana group that hosts events so you can meet other parents in the area. They offer both in-person and virtual groups to get you connected. You’ll soon have friends who can help you through all those struggles you might face throughout parenthood!
