Throughout parenthood, the park is quickly going to be your new favorite place. This will be your go-to spot to practice sports or let them run out some energy. From rewards for hard work to backdrops for photo sessions, it’s amazing how much you’ll use this space! As a Montana family photographer, I love getting to chat with different parents all about the spots they’ve come to adore! Claudia Driscoll Park is an adorable playground where your Hamilton, MT child can let their imagination run wild! Nestled on 30 acres, this park has a bit of everything, including walking paths, a skatepark, and a bandstand. The best part of this location is definitely the log-themed playground, perfect for kids of all ages. With low ramps and various levels of slides, they have just the thing your child will love!
401 South 9th Street, Hamilton, Montana 59840
River Park & Trails remains one of my favorite spots to get little glimpses of the Montana wilderness. This area features fishing access to the Bitterroot River as well as designated wildlife viewing opportunities where you can see creatures like moose and deer. The playground is pretty small and doesn’t get terribly crowded in Hamilton, MT. It’s the perfect place to sit down, relax for a minute, and let your child explore on their own before you continue your adventure.

The American Legion Park is a smaller park that still packs a lot of fun! This park offers a splash pad, a scenic trail, and a picnic area where you can enjoy a meal with a view! This Hamilton, MT park has a darling, wilderness-themed playground perfect for your little explorer! They can spend some time navigating rock walls or hopping across mushrooms while you enjoy the afternoon.
Lewis & Clark Park, Stevensville, Montana 59870
If you don’t mind a short drive, Lewis & Clark Park in nearby Stevensville is the ideal destination! This space offers a basketball court, a swimming pool, a skate park, pickleball courts, and an open field for your child to explore. The playground, dubbed “Bear Mountain,” is positively adorable with equipment designed for kids of all ages. Your child is going to love swinging from the swings or climbing the wooden playset while making friends. Meanwhile, younger kids can have their own space at the “Cub Cave.” The two playgrounds are fenced off while nestled right next to each other, making it perfect for siblings.
