From the very beginning, the team at Fern Creek Midwives has been dedicated to putting childbirth back in the hands of women. The practice was founded by Carrie Corbett and Heather Holman in 2012, and they’ve been working to empower new moms ever since. Today, they have two additional midwives on staff, ready to help you have your ideal birth. Their team has been present at over 1,000 births combined and has both the training and the personal knowledge to support you every step of the way!

Fern Creek Midwives devotes themselves to giving you customized care that perfectly matches your needs. Before you decide to work with them, they encourage you to schedule a no-fee consultation. During this session, they are going to discuss your birth plan and help you decide if they’re the ones to see it through. If so, it will be time to start out on their prenatal care. You’ll begin with a comprehensive exam, an in-depth review of your medical history, and desired lab work. From there, you will have regular appointments where they will monitor your baby’s growth and help you craft your perfect birth plan.
When it comes to your delivery, you will be able to choose between laboring at home or delivering at the Fern Creek Birth Haus. Your midwife will be there with one other professional to help you see your birth plan through. They will also bring along all the necessary tools for a seamless birth.
Specialty
Once your baby is born, you can continue to receive exceptional care through Fern Creek Midwives. They offer two postpartum visits inside your home as well as several follow-ups in the office. During that time, they are going to monitor your recovery, see how you are handling motherhood, and answer any questions regarding the fourth trimester and newborn care. They will also discuss contraception and family planning.
