Plan Some New Family Outings To These Great Parks In Hamilton, MT

Claudia Driscoll Park

200 N. 10th Street, Hamilton, Montana 59840

Claudia Driscoll Park is one of my favorite spots for imaginative Hamilton, MT kids! This park has two massive playgrounds designed to look like a secret fort overlooking the mountains. The areas are side-by-side but are each surrounded by fencing to ensure kids can safely play on age-appropriate equipment. This spot also has a skatepark perfect for older kids!

River Park

401 S. 9th St, Hamilton, Montana 59840

If you are looking for the best way to get out into Hamilton, MT’s nature, River Park is a must! This spot is nestled on 65 acres, giving you scenic views of the mountains as well as the Bitterroot River. There is a small playground in this area with swings and parks, but the main draw here is the trail that takes you by the river. While you’re out here, you can catch some fish in the pond or take a kayak down the water.

Traveler’s Rest State Park

If you love history, Traveler’s Rest State Park is your spot! This was a stop on the Lewis and Clark exhibition, and they continue to host events honoring its legacy. Even on the off days, you can hike down the trail, read the placards, and learn about the Nez Perce tribes who called this place their home.

Hieronymus Park

W River Rd, Hamilton, Montana 59840

Hieronymus Park gives you 60 acres of wildlife you can explore with your Hamilton, MT family. You can come out and explore the Corvallis Canal while checking out birds like warblers, osprey, and even a few bald eagles. They have an interpretive trail, plus there’s a fishing pond where you can spend a few hours casting.
