Holidays on Higgins kicks off each year on the first Saturday of December! During this Christmas event, all of Downtown Missoula, MT is decked out in their holiday best. As you wander down the street, you can pop into local shops, check out the stationary floats, carol around the bonfire, or buy crafts from local artisans. There will be a tree lighting in front of the North Higgins Train Station with Santa himself doing the honors!

Finn Restaurant

Throughout the Christmas season in Missoula, MT, Finn Restaurant in the Hilton DoubleTree constantly has something they’re cooking up! Kids can swing by in early December for a Santa Sunday Brunch. During this time, Santa will take a break from his workshop to meet families and enjoy a decadent meal. The restaurant will also host holiday bonfires, a Christmas Eve Dinner, and a Christmas Brunch. 

Holiday Hullabaloo

Holiday Hullabaloo is a yearly tradition hosted by the Missoula Public Library. Throughout the event, your family can head up to the fourth floor for an afternoon filled with Christmas events. With this free celebration, you can enjoy crafts, face painting, raffles, and cookie decorating. And yes, Santa will be there!  

Candy Cane Lane Opening Night Stroll

Candy Cane Lane Opening Night Stroll is one of the best new traditions! This event was started in 2024 as a way to get families into the holiday season. While Candy Cane Lane will be available for car tours the week following Thanksgiving, the city blocks off all traffic on opening night. You can bundle up, grab some hot chocolate, and walk a fourth of a mile through the lights.

Prairie Sisters Vintage Market

If you love nothing more than shopping for retro goods, check out Prairie Sisters Vintage Market. This is a curated market that brings in vendors from all across the state of Montana.
